  1. Marinate chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, and salt for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and cook the marinated chicken until 70% done. Keep aside.
  3. In the same pan, heat 3 tbsp butter and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  4. Add tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes are soft and the oil starts separating.
  5. Blend the cooked tomatoes and onions into a smooth paste using a blender.
  6. Pass the paste through a sieve to remove seeds and skin for a smoother sauce.
  7. Return the strained sauce to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce.
  9. Pour in the heavy cream and add garam masala. Mix well.
  10. Simmer for 8-10 minutes until the chicken is completely cooked and the sauce thickens.
  11. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  12. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
